Cardi B “Invasion of Privacy” Review

In the 80s, the female competition was deep and in full force from Roxanne Shante, Salt-N-Pepa, JJ Fad, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte to Monie Love. The 90s/2000s gave us Da Brat, Lady of Rage, Lil Kim, Mia X, Left Eye, Gangsta Boo, Eve, Remy, Foxy, Missy etc.  For the last decade or so, it felt like Nicki Minaj was the only one killin the game from a female standpoint.

Out of the "Love &Hiphop" franchise comes a Bronx born Latin Female named Cardi B. Through Instagram, she became a internet celebrity, had been doing the mixtape scene for the past couple years, but I among others didn't really pay much attention to her until her huge single "Bodak Yellow" which was a huge success. Add in her guest apperances for which she stole the show on with G Eazy, Bruno Mars, and the Migos, her debut album "Invasion of Privacy" became much anticipated.

I wondered if she could carry a whole album to herself which to my surprise she did, and showed she isn't a one hit wonder. Her energy is felt throughout the entire album, has the songs for the clubs, songs u can ride to and a couple of personal songs you know she been through in life which most women can relate to.I feel like she will be in the HipHop game for a long time, already has shown she can hold her own on the mic, has a down to earth personality with a no-filter attitude which makes a lot of women become fans of her. If anything, the best thing about Cardi B is , she lets any stripper know, stripping isn't the end of the road, that you can accomplish more in life if you put your mind to it. In her case "hustle" to it.

Standout songs include, "Be Careful", "Get up 10", "Drip" featuring the Migos, "Bickenhead"( S/0 to Project pat!)

Drake – Nice For What

Drizzy continues his yearly runs of hits on top of hits.  I definitely think he will have all the clubs,  strip clubs, cookouts lit all summer long with this one.
