Its that time of the year for fans who crave some type of football until August. The annual NFL Draft is upon us, fans of their favorite football team start to dream of their team making a Super Bowl run, and it begins with the draft.
Its the year of the QB, as many as five QBs could go in the first round. It remains to be seen if we will find the next Brady, Brees, Rodgers with this group, but with many teams needing a franchise QB, its possible one or two of them could become future stars.
Top prospects include: Josh Allen QB (Wyoming), Sam Darnold QB (USC), Baker Mayfield QB (Oklahoma), Josh Rosen QB (UCLA) and Saquon Barkely RB (PSU) who I happened to see play in person and he is definitely worth the price of admission. He can do it all, run , catch, return kicks, with the speed of Barry Sanders and the strength of Ladainian Tomlinson. I think he will help turn around a team quickly and make a instant impact like Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys previously did.
Darkhorse candidates who are under the radar but could make a impact are Lamar Jackson QB (Lousiville), Roquan Smith LB (Georgia), Bradley Chubb DE (NC State). The NFL Draft is April 26-28th on ESPN/ESPN2.
